Seyilogo Braithwaite,
Chef Owner of Beezus Kitchen.
Her Story.
Raised in Lagos, Nigeria for the first 14 years of her life, Seyilogo finally moved back to the city in October 2020. Before then, she was privileged to have lived all over the world in Dublin, London, Nottingham, Los Angeles and Malaysia. Although she cherished her time, connections and lifestyle in every one of those cities, nothing quite screamed home to her the way Lagos did.
Seyilogo’s love for food and passion for adventure was honed by the spontaneous time of her life that she spent in Malaysia. What set out to be a 5 month study programme, turned into the best 2 years of her life. Being in close proximity with so many beautiful countries, she caught the travel bug and went on multiple tours across Asia where she not only took professional and local culinary courses, but fully immersed herself in the culture and lifestyle of their locals.
She has found a niche in curating authentic and modern culinary experiences inspired by her time in Asia. She also hosts a monthly pop-up supper club that has been going steady for 2 years while managing her boutique catering company, Beezus Kitchen.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, making candles, creating whimsical cocktails and spending time with her seven siblings.
